2012 Call for Proposals-Round 7

Purpose

New Connections: Increasing Diversity of RWJF Programming aims to expand the diversity of perspectives that inform Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) programming and introduce new researchers and scholars to RWJF, while simultaneously helping to meet staff needs for data analysis. The program invites Junior Investigators—scholars from historically disadvantaged and underrepresented communities—to submit proposals that address programming priorities for one of RWJF’s program areas.

Total Awards

  • We will award up to 10 Junior Investigator grants of up to $100,000 each for a 24-month period.
    • Of the 10 Junior Investigator grants awarded in this funding round, up to three grants will be designated for Public Health Law Research-New Connections (PHLR-NC) awards.

Key Dates

  • July 11, 2012 (3:00–4:30 p.m. ET)—Optional applicant Web conference call for Junior Investigator brief proposal candidates. Registration is required.
  • August 29, 2012 (3 p.m. ET)—Deadline for receipt of brief proposals (must be submitted online).
  • October 17, 2012—Select applicants invited to submit full proposals.
  • October 31, 2012 (3:00-4:30 p.m. ET)—Optional applicant Web conference call for Junior Investigator full proposal applicants. Registration is required.
  • November 28, 2012 (3 p.m. ET)—Deadline for receipt of full proposals (must be submitted online).
  • February 4, 2013—Notification of finalists.
  • April 1, 2013—Start of awards.
