As the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation marks its 40th year as a national philanthropy, President and CEO Risa Lavizzo-Mourey reflects on the legacy of founder and business leader Gen. Robert Wood Johnson, acknowledges the important accomplishments of current and former grantees, and notes the challenges that lie ahead to improve the health and health care of all Americans.

"We believe that good health and health care are essential to the wellbeing and stability of our society, the vitality of our families and communities, and the productivity of our economy," Lavizzo-Mourey says, and she pledges "an unyielding commitment to the philanthropic vision of our founder."

As we look back on our first 40 years, Lavizzo-Mourey invites all those who watch this video to help us envision health and health care for the next 40 years, "and determine the bold, transformative strategies that will get us there."
