Tushar Khanna joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in April of 2013, bringing his expertise in asset management and risk management to his role as investment analyst. Khanna’s work focuses on portfolio management and risk management for RWJF’s investment portfolio.
Previously, Khanna served as an analyst and associate with BlackRock, a leader in investment management, risk management, and advisory services for institutional and retail clients worldwide. His work included researching companies for potential investment opportunities, researching macroeconomic trends and broad markets, and supporting portfolio managers through risk analytics and portfolio analysis.
Khanna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certifications. He was awarded his university department’s Molstad Prize for best senior design group project, and also served as the editor-in-chief of The Pennsylvania Triangle, a science and technology publication on campus.
Born in Providence, R.I., Khanna presently resides in New York City. A devotee of American cinema, he hopes to one day write a successful screenplay. He also enjoys poker, live music, and the outdoors.
