As senior counsel at the Foundation, Edmond J. Ghisu, JD, works on investment matters, co-chairs the Foundation's Impact Capital Committee, and serves as a legal representative for the Quality/Equality team, and Vulnerable Populations and Pioneer Portfolios. He also works with RWJF’s Human Resources department on employee benefit matters. Drawn to the Foundation’s focus on improving the health and health care of all Americans, he praises its state-of-the-art legal work in investments and grantmaking. As he notes: “the Foundation is all about doing something good for society.”
Ghisu joined RWJF in 2006 after serving as a business and finance attorney for six years with Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll. His practice focused primarily on partnership and joint venture transactions and securities law matters. Prior to his employment with Ballard Spahr, he worked as a commercial litigator for Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin, and Drinker Biddle & Reath, LLP.
Ghisu received his JD from Temple University School of Law and his BA in political science from West Chester University.
Born in Philadelphia he resides in Warrington, Pa., with his wife, Elena, and son and daughter. He enjoys photography, art, and music.
