The IT intern will work with Information Technology staff to analyze the performance of our external website www.rwjf.org with a focus on page load times. The intern will conduct performance analysis of the site and present recommendations for improvement with the ultimate goal of improved user experience. Junior or seniors majoring in Computer Science preferred. Candidates with knowledge of Java programming language and related web technologies (Java Server Pages [JSP], HTML, CSS, etc.) and an understanding of website system architecture preferred. Internship Responsibilities:

  • Performs analysis of website performance using NewRelic analytics software.
  • Evaluates and recommends improvements for setup and configuration of Akamai web content delivery network.
  • Creates prototypes and proof of concepts to assist with performance analysis and introduce potential solutions, tools and techniques.
  • Participates in other projects as assigned.
