Declaring Their Independence
Up to 15 million people need help with everyday tasks like making meals, eating, bathing, dressing, and toileting. These tasks are typically provided by Medicaid-contracted home health agencies. Our program, Cash & Counseling, allowed Medicaid beneficiaries to hire their own caregivers and manage their own care.

Better Parenting Skills, Healthier Children
Grantee David Olds had a radical notion: Help young, vulnerable women become more capable mothers, and get their children off to a healthier start through the early intervention of a trained nurse. That was the start of the Nurse-Family Partnership.
