Parsa Sajid, who joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 2008, works on health care coverage expansion for children and adults. Through her skills in program design and project management, she helps in the development of programs and research that examine health care coverage issues, such as cost, affordability, and other advocacy and policy factors, that lead to stable health care coverage for all Americans. Sajid believes that “the programs the Foundation puts in place can have real impact for people and bring about positive results in health and health care.”
Previously, she was a senior policy analyst for the New York Office of Citywide Health Insurance Access, where she was involved in research and analysis of expanding health insurance coverage to uninsured New York City residents. She credits this position with giving her “an exceptional opportunity to work with many city agencies on a variety of health coverage issues.”
Sajid holds an M.P.A. from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and A.B. from Mount Holyoke College. She was an invited participant at the Women as Global Leaders Conference in Dubai, 2005.
Born in Bangladesh, she lives in New York City, and has traveled extensively in Europe, South America, and Asia. She enjoys reading fiction and exploring new restaurants in New York City.
