Alonzo L. Plough

Vice President, Research and Evaluation and Chief Science Officer

Alonzo Plough leads the Research and Evaluation unit, a team dedicated to improving the nation's ability to understand key health and health care issues so that informed decisions can be made concerning the way Americans maintain health and obtain health care.  

Penny M. Bolla

Web Editor, Research and Evaluation

Penny Bolla manages research and policy content for the RWJF Publications and Research website and tracks the progress of seven Foundation teams for the Scorecard, our annual assessment of our organizational performance.

Nancy Wieler Fishman

Senior Program Officer

Nancy Fishman designs and manages the research and evaluation programs on the Human Capital team.  Of particular interest are workforce issues in areas of nursing, primary care and long term care. She also helps to produces the Scorecard, an annual report on RWJF’s organizational performance.

Laura Leviton has overseen evaluations in most of RWJF’s areas of focus and in her current role is charged with improving evaluation both within the Foundation and in the field as a whole. She also serves as a member of the Childhood Obesity team and Vulnerable Populations Portfolio.

Unit Coordinator, Research and Evaluation

Deb Malloy focuses on supporting unit-wide activities/projects and external and internal learning, works on the Publications and Research website, maintains the R&E Intranet site, manages the Evaluator and Survey databases, and provides assistance on Enterprise level/learning projects.

Kerry Anne McGeary brings an economic perspective to many of the Foundation's efforts, as a member of the Research and Evaluation unit and Quality/Equality team.

Director, Research Resources Center

Molly McKaughan directs the Program Results Reporting unit, which produces Program Results Reports on the results and findings of completed projects and national programs, and Progress Reports on a selection of active projects and programs. It also produces Grantee Profiles of fellows, scholars, leaders, and researchers.

Director

Lori Melichar is engaged in the Foundation’s efforts to advance the science of quality improvement (QI) research and evaluation, and to produce information that is useful to employers and providers considering investing in quality improvement training. She is a member of the Human Capital and Pioneer Portfolios.

Senior Program Officer/Senior Scientist

C. Tracy Orleans designs and oversees programs of research to identify science-based policy and environmental approaches to population-level health behavior change and childhood obesity prevention, as a member of the Research and Evaluation unit and Childhood Obesity team.

Assistant Vice President, Research and Evaluation

Brian Quinn supports the R&E unit's goal of facilitating learning by spreading the Foundation's lessons from past and current investments. In addition, much of his focus is on bridging the worlds of research and policy, making sure the Foundation is supporting actionable evidence to inform policy debates.

Naima Wong guides the research and evaluation programming for the Public Health team.
