Greensboro, N.C., Leadership Center Produces Handbook for Evaluating Management of Health Programs
Producing a handbook for evaluation of leadership development projects
In 2005–2006, staff at the Center for Creative Leadership developed a handbook on how to evaluate the effectiveness of leadership development programs.
To shape the book, the staff convened two conferences attended by some 30 scholars and practitioners in the leadership development field.
Key Results
- In collaboration with Jossey-Bass publishers, the center published The Handbook of Leadership Development Evaluation — a 632-page presentation of tools, models and approaches used to evaluate leadership development programs.
- A collaborating organization, the Leadership Learning Community, created a companion Web page that provides an overview of the book's content and links to resources described in the book.
Funding
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) supported the project with a solicited grant of $80,900.
