Meanwhile, McConnellsburg Middle School will use an $8,235 grant to continue a monthly Wellness Wednesday program, provide after school programming and continue a bike-to-school program. As of October, the Highmark Foundation had awarded $2.2 million in funding to 293 elementary, middle and high schools through the Healthy High 5 School Challenge (Fulton County News, 12/18/08; Highmark Foundation release, 11/10/08).
