Nancy-Ann DeParle, J.D., M.A., was elected to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Board of Trustees in July 2002.
DeParle is a managing director at CCMP Capital, LLC, and an adjunct professor of health care systems at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Her professional experience includes serving as administrator of the Health Care Financing Administration (now the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; and associate director for Health and Personnel, the White House Office of Management and Budget. She also served as the commissioner of the Department of Human Services in the Cabinet of Tennessee Governor Ned McWherter.
She is a member of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission and a director of several companies, including Boston Scientific, Cerner Corporation and DaVita.
DeParle earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School, a B.A./M.A. from Balliol College, Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar, and a B.A. from the University of Tennessee.
