Ralph S. Larsen was elected to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Board of Trustees in September 2002.
Larsen is a former chairman of the board and CEO of Johnson & Johnson (J&J). Previously, he held numerous positions at J&J, including company group chairman, vice chairman of the executive committee, and chairman of the consumer sector. In a brief stint away from J&J, he served as president of Becton Dickinson’s Consumer Products Division.
Larsen currently is a member of the board of directors of the General Electric Company and Xerox Corporation. He also is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. Larsen serves on the Conference Board’s Commission on Public Trust and Private Enterprise. He is a former chairman of the Business Council, a former co-chairman and member of the Policy Committee of the Business Roundtable, and a former member of the President’s Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations.
Larsen is a graduate of Hofstra University.
